# Introduction

Cultured: Speculate on Sentiment

[Cultured Protocol](https://x.com/Cultured_RWA) is a decentralized perpetuals-based exchange innovating at the intersection of DeFi and cultural analytics. The platform enables sophisticated trading of synthetic positions based on real-time cultural sentiment, leveraging advanced AI analysis of social media, news feeds, and market data to create dynamic indices.

Unlike traditional prediction markets, Cultured offers continuous trading on cultural metrics without fixed end dates, allowing users to take positions on sentiment toward public figures, brands, social movements, and cultural phenomena. The protocol's architecture supports both direct real-world data feeds and composite indices derived from multi-source sentiment analysis.

Our proprietary indexing system updates in real-time, creating a responsive market environment that rewards active trading strategies and market analysis. The platform's modular design enables developers to create and deploy custom indices, fostering an ecosystem of specialized cultural metrics and trading strategies.

Importantly, Cultured is not a predictions market, but instead provides indices on sentiment toward certain aspects of culture with no end date.

**Key Features**

1. Focus on the Attention Economy: Cultured is designed to capture and monetize areas where people invest time and attention, not strictly event outcomes.
2. Stablecoin-Based CLP Basket: Cultured’s index uses a pool entirely of stablecoins, providing stability and reducing the risk of high volatility in comparison to asset-backed indices.

# Providing Liquidity

CLP is the liquidity provider token for Cultured. Liquidity providers earn fees from leverage trading, borrowing fees and swaps.

### Overview[](https://gmx-docs.io/docs/providing-liquidity/v1#overview)

CLP consists of an index of stablecoin and yield generating assets used for swaps and leverage trading. The current basket of coins in CLP includes:

* pUSD
* nRWA
* nYIELD
* nTBILL

It can be minted using any index asset and burnt to redeem any index asset. The price for minting and redemption is calculated based on (total worth of assets in index including profits and losses of open positions) / supply.

**Index Weight:**

In incentivize there is enough pUSD to pay out profits and losses for traders, there is an optimal weight for each assets within CLP. Users might experience slippage if they deposit an asset that is currently overweight in the LP pool.
# Risk Management

Risk Management Settings

#### Max Leverage[](https://gmx-docs.io/docs/trading/v2#max-leverage)

As a pool’s total open interest grows, the max allowed leverage decreases. This helps protect the pool from high-leverage strategies exploiting price impact. For closing or reducing positions, your collateral won't be affected if leverage limits are hit.

**Auto-Deleverage:**

Since all the markets on Cultured are synthetic markets, in extreme scenarios, it is possible that the profit of long positions exceed the value of tokens in the LP pool.

To avoid this scenario, ADL (Auto-Deleveraging) may take place. Auto-Deleverage will take place if the protocol has hit a threshold for leverage, in that scenario, positions maybe partially or fully closed based on profitability, position size and collateral. This ensures that the protocol will always be solvant and profits can be paid out.
